Beginning in Fiscal Year 2027 (July 1, 2026), fees for most DPR programs and services increased by 3%, with a 25% increase for the 55+ Travel Program. The FY27 budget also introduced separate resident and out-of-county rates for fee-based 55+ programs. While out-of-county rates have long applied to 55+ memberships and travel programs, they will now be applied consistently across all fee-based 55+ programs. Out-of-county fees are 15% higher than resident fees, with fees rounded as needed for administration and pricing purposes. These changes help address budget challenges while supporting the continued operation, quality, affordability and accessibility of 55+ programs.You'll also find plenty of free activities to enjoy this season. Celebrate the fall with festive events like Pumpkin Carving and Spooky Stories for Halloween (pg. 25, pg. 22) and a special luncheon and cooking demonstrations for Thanksgiving (pg. 11). We're also excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with programs like Viva la M%u00fasica, Virtual Fiesta and more (pg. 4). We hope you'll join us to have some fun this fall!
